AUGUST 2025 KENTUCKY STATE FAIR

The Louisville Miniature Club sponsors the Miniature Category at the Kentucky State Fair. The Miniature Exhibit is one of the most popular exhibits at the State Fair each year. We use this event as part of our commitment to promoting our hobby. We had 94 entries this year!

We started a new program at the Kentucky State Fair, called The People’s Choice Award. Visitor to our exhibit were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece in the designated Class. This year we did the Room Box Class. Raquel Norton was our winner with this beautiful piece.

Congratulations Raquel!

Blu Ribbon Winner in the Dollhouse Class. Congratulations Angela Grissom!

The Blue Ribbon Winner in the Landscape Class was “Don’t Drink and Fly” by Judith Riggs. Judith is the Club Treasurer and Co-Chair for the Show. The Tree is made from polymer clay, floral stems, and self adhesive bandage wraps. The 70 pumpkins are made of polymer clay. The wagon, witch’s hats, the skeletons, and brooms were hand made by Judith. “I had to put a bottle of Jack Daniels in the front skeletons hand as the newer generation did not know what a moonshine jugs looked like. It was hilarious listening to parents explain the jugs. LOL!”
